Combining an academic background in cancer research with a belief in personalized cancer care, L.E. Bud Robertson came to Summit Cancer Care in 1995 from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where his research focused primarily on leukemias and lymphoma, areas in which he has published extensively throughout his career.
Robertson is a graduate of Baylor University and the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio. He completed a post-doctoral residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, a fellowship in Medical Oncology at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and a hematology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, also in Houston. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology.
Since 1995, Robertson has served as education chief of Hematology-Oncology at Memorial Health University Medical Center. He is on the active staff of St. Joseph’s and Candler hospitals in Savannah. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
