Alison (Ali) E. Spellman, M.D. joined Summit Cancer Care in August 2016 offering fresh perspectives in hematologic and oncologic care. Originally from Marietta, GA, Dr. Spellman graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S in Biology. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at the Medical College of Georgia. After finishing her Internal Medicine residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, she returned to Augusta for her Hematology-Oncology fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia, finishing in 2016. Awarded for her bedside manner in the past, Dr. Spellman sees patients with every type of cancer. She strives to provide a personalized treatment plan, while screening each patient for possible clinical trial opportunities.
Dr. Spellman is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Hematology, and American Society of Clinical Oncology. She sees patients at Anderson Cancer Institute at Memorial Hospital, Lewis Cancer Research Pavilion across from Candler Hospital, and at Effingham Hospital’s Cancer Care Center in Springfield.
